For the first six months, foreign investments in Bulgaria are Over 907 mln. Euro
The Netherlands has made Most of the investments for the period
The sum of foreign direct investments in Bulgaria for the first six months of this year is over 907 mln. Euro, according to preliminary data of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB). This is 41.5 million. Levs or by 4.8% more compared to the same period in 2014, when the amount was 856.8 mln. Euros. At the same time invested in Bulgaria funds, for the first half of this year, from abroad are 2.1% of the GDP of our country.
Most investments during this period are made by the Netherlands – 620.2 mln. Euros. Austria held the second place with 144.9 mln. Euros. Norway is third with 87.8 mln. Euros, followed by France – ranked with 62.4 mln. Euros, Belgium – 55.1 mln. Euros and Italy – 54.5 mln. Euros.
The largest portion of foreign direct investment over the past half year- debt instruments ( 594.3 mln. Euros). Second place is for investments in equity, which amounted to 219.1 mln. Euros. After them are reinvestment of profit – 93.9 mln. Euros.
At the same time during the period direct investments that Bulgaria has made abroad amounted to 28.3 mln. Euros. This is a decrease of over 12 times compared to the first half of 2014. Then our investments abroad amounted to 349.5 mln. Euro, according to preliminary data of BNB.
